US QHSE Manager

Managed the development and implementation of QHSE Policies and Procedures for the Americas supporting all US based projects; led regional HSSE teams in project field support for Oil & Gas Clients on dry tow projects covering offshore drilling rigs, tension leg platforms, transport and installation of production rigs and other large scale marine projects globally.

 

·               Managed HSSE field activities for five projects covering multiple disciplines and several countries.

·               Managed all QHSE aspects for a $450M project transporting a LNG plant from China, Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore to Australia. Successfully qualified over 250 employees for project HSE requirements; delivered all project QHSE objectives on time, on-budget, and over 2.5 million exposure hours with no Lost Time Incidents (LTI).

·               Implemented and developed the Americas Emergency & Crisis Response Plans.; processes and procedures were new to organization and required extensive internal stakeholder engagement to bring these plans to fruition.

·               Developed and executed 5 global marine training programs covering 20 disciplines for 100 employees and 600 contractors.

Corporate Director of HSET

Developed, implemented and administered Health, Safety, Environmental and Training programs for companies’ 44 subsidiaries covering Oil & Gas, Military Government Contract. Defined Corporate HSET strategy and served as a senior advisor to corporate executives.  Acted as the principal agent and spokesman on HSSE to government entities, outside organizations as well as liaison with external regulators.

 

·               Significantly reduced the Corporation’s number of incidents from 63 to 20 reducing corporations overall Total Recordable Incident Rates (TRIR) from 3.63 to 1.15 over three year period.  This was accomplished by introducing new training programs, behavioral based safety programs (BBSM) and updated HSSE Policies and Procedures.  Business Continuity Planning (BCP): Team member in work group developing new BCP policy and procedures supporting the VP of Risk & Quality Management. 

·               Managed the Emergency Response and Business Resumption groups within the BCP capsule.

·               Managed corporate HSET initiatives and improvement plans developing strategy and implementation for all subsidiaries.  This improved safety overall by reducing incidents by over 65%.

·               Lead reviewer for all corporate requests for proposal (RFP) bid requests; ensured company and clients were aligned on HSSE policies and procedures.  This helped reduce HSSE costs post-contract by 50%.
